Braunstone facts and figures
 

The resident population of Braunstone Park and Rowley Fields, as measured in the 2001 Cenus was 16,614 of which 47 per cent were male and 53 per cent were female. The resident population of Leicester was 279,921, of which 48 per cent were male and 52 per cent were female.

Braunstone uncovered :-

Braunstone is the largest parish in Blaby District, with 21 Town Councillors representing a population of over 13,000. It adjoins the south-western boundary of the City of Leicester. The Meridian Business Park, Leisure Centre and recently expanded Fosse Park Shopping Centre to the south of Braunstone provide excellent employment and shopping opportunities.

The administrative headquarters is based in the Civic Centre on Kingsway, which now houses a joint services office of Blaby District Council.

Braunstone is a largely residential area incorporating shopping  facilities, schools and a 23 acre sports complex at Mossdale Meadows. There are also three other parks administered by the Town Council.
