Commbus Project
Voluntary group providing community bus services
to all the community. "Dial-a-Ride", group use and self drive
hire available. Of particular use to those who have difficulty using
ordinary transport but also available to other community groups

A plan to illuminate St Peters Church Whetstone as part of the millennium celebrations has come to fruition.
The cost of the project has been met, partly by the Church Floodlighting Trust and partly by subscriptions from parishioners and others.
As many of the donations are in memory of relations, the Rev Vic Goodman explained
"There will be a list of those who have donated (or in whose memory a donation has been made) the list will be on display in church."
"The important thing about the donations is that each person who has given in memory of a loved one will only have to look across at the church each evening to be reminded of the departed, a lot of people seem to find comfort in this" he said.
Whetstone Parish Council have kindly agreed to cover the maintenance costs for the first year.
